Our Founder & Visionary
Anthony Ray Gardner, Jr. was born in Greenville, North Carolina, to Anthony Ray Gardner, Sr. and Angela Gardner. He is the eldest of two children and a proud big brother to Antwan Gardner. Known for his quiet strength, deep compassion, and creative talents, Anthony has overcome trials many would never imagine — and continues to inspire through faith, leadership, and service.
In December 2013, Anthony was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, a rare form of cancer. After months of treatment and prayer, he was declared cancer-free in April 2014. His journey through illness not only shaped his testimony but birthed a deeper calling to serve, uplift, and empower others walking through life’s hardest battles.
Anthony is a 2016 graduate of North Lenoir High School and a proud native of Kinston, North Carolina, where he continues to live with his family. In December 2023, he graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in University Studies, and is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Adult Education at ECU, with an expected graduation in May 2025.
Anthony is the Founder & Visionary Leader of ARGJ Ministries Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing spiritual encouragement, prayer, biblical empowerment, and outreach through weekly Bible Study, Friday Night Prayer, and community-centered faith initiatives. His ministry exists to remind people that their pain has purpose and that healing, growth, and identity can be restored through the power of God.
Anthony continues to share his story with transparency and grace, reminding others that their story isn’t over — and that even after suffering, purpose still lives. His life is proof that what the enemy meant for harm, God can use for good.

In this leadership role, he partners closely with the Founder to provide guidance, structure, and support in key areas of ministry development.He oversees the logistical planning of events, fundraising coordination, internal systems, and special projects, helping to ensure that each component of the ministry runs with excellence. As a trusted advisor, Cedric offers insight that strengthens both the day-to-day flow and long-term direction of ARGJ Ministries.
He is committed to advancing the vision with clarity and faith — and handles all aspects of ongoing ministry operations with professionalism and care.
